Be a part of the professionally designed itinerary that takes us to the Everest base camp and Kalapatthar then to the famous Lobuche Peak. Lobuche East peak is one of the popular climbing peaks in Nepal, located at the elevation of 6,119 meters inEverestKhumbu Himalayan range. This peak is an attractive summit and offers various routes for climbing. The normal route for climbing is through South Ridge. Lobuche east peak consists of several small summits and the true summit requires climbing steep snow and ice slopes to the top from the summit ridge. Our professionally designed itinerary takes us to theEverest base campand Kalapattar then to Lobuche Peak, this will give us enough opportunity to get acclimatized. Once we return to Lobuche village from Everest base camp then we trek up to the Lobuche peak base camp. The base camp will be set up at 4,950 meters. Near a lake in a rocky hollow at the base of the glaciated South-West Face. The views ofAmadablam, Thamserku, Kantega peak, and Tawache peak are superb from here. We climb steep stone terraces and snow slopes just below the main glaciers on the South-West Face of Lobuche East. Arrive at Kathmandu airport (1,400 m/4,593 ft). Overnight at hotel. Arrive in Kathmandu Our airport representative will be receiving you at Tribhuvan International airport, Kathmandu and s/he will be displaying an Ace the Himalaya signboard outside the airport terminal. You will be then transferred to your respective hotel in our private tourist vehicle. Max. Altitude: Kathmandu (1,400 m/4,593 ft) Overnight in Kathmandu. Fly to Lukla (2,840 m) from Kathmandu – 35 minutes or drive to Manthali/Ramechhap (474 m) by shared tourist vehicle – 5 to 6 hours and a 20 minutes flight to Lukla, and then trek to Phakding (2,610 m) – 3 to 4 hours. Overnight at guesthouse.

Flight to Lukla Manthali to Lukla Flight (March, April, May, September, October, and November) During peak seasons, such as March, April, May, September, October and November, the flight to Lukla will be operated from Ramechhap/Manthali due to air traffic expansion. The Manthali/Ramechhap airport is about a 5 to 6 hours drive away from Kathmandu. On this day, we wake up between 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM, take an escorted shuttle to Manthali Airport in a shared tourist vehicle, and board a 20-minute flight to Lukla. Kathmandu to Lukla Flight (January, February, June, July, August and December) The flight to Lukla is typically operated from Kathmandu during nonpeak seasons, which include January, February, June, July, August and December . Please be aware that the decision regarding the operation of flights solely depends on the airline and is influenced by the volume of travelers during a specific month. On this day, we wake up between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM. Our staff will escort you to the domestic airport terminal in Kathmandu, where you will board a 35-minute flight to Lukla. Helicopter Option You have the option to book a direct helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla for an extra charge of USD 550 per person. This price is quoted on a 5-people sharing basis. This is the best alternative to avoid the long drive to Manthali airport during peak season (March, April, May, October, and November). After five hours we’ll reach Tengboche, where the local monastery can be seen. Inside the monastery are incredibly ornate wall hangings, a twenty-foot sculpture of Buddha, and the musical instruments and robes of the Lamas. The group will be taken to observe a prayer ceremony in either the evening or morning, depending on how the day’s trekking progressed. Max. The first half of the journey is over flat terrain, but the second half of the path begins a steep ascent to the Lobuche base camp (4,950 m). The path is quite rocky and it moves along the bank of Lobuche Glacier. While trekking, you can enjoy the spectacular views of Tawache, Ama Dablam, Pokalde, Thamserku, Kantega, and many more. For the next two days our accommodation will be this tented camp, food provided by our professional chef. Max. The hike takes about ten hours. At the summit, we’ll behold panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Tawache, Cholatse, Pumori, Changri, and more. After a trip to the top, we safely make our way down the same day, returning to the Base Camp. Max. In case of extremely bad weather on Day 12, you can summit the peak on this day. However, the weather might work in our favour most of the times. In such cases, you can continue trekking down and utilize this day to rest or to relax anywhere in the trail or at Namche or Lukla which offers a lot of good restaurants, bars, bakeries, etc. Namche and Lukla have many good places to hangout. Physical FitnessHow challenging is the Lobuche Peak Climbing?This trip is a little bit technical where using ropes and an ice pick is required. You need good stamina for a long day’s effort while climbing it. You can climb Lobuche East peak without any previous climbing experience and skills in using climbing equipment but knowledge of using equipment and previous experience would be beneficial although not mandatory because pre-ice climbing training is provided to you in Base Camp to make you skillful in using climbing gears such as ropes, ice pick, harness, and crampons.How quickly do you walk on the trail?The average walking speed for a reasonably fit person is 4 kilometers per hour.
